This week was a very interesting and sport car heavy week. Especially a lot of new cars were spotted on the road for the very first time and two cars which I thought would never be finished, finally got their release dates. Check it out:
VW UP GTI
5 years ago, VW teased us with the concept of a UP GT. A sports version of their smallest car with a 110 HP three cylinder turbo engine.
A few days ago they finally revealed that the concept will become reality in the shape of the VW GTI. The performance of the engine remain the same as first planned and will be teamed by a weight of slightly under a tonne. The car will have some sportier trim on the inside as well as on the outside and is planned to be a homage to the first Golf GTI.
This all together sounds like quite a fun package. We will see how it turns out at the beginning of 2018.
Fans of the racing game “Forza” already know this car for quite a while, even if it was always a concept and there hasn´t been any released technical specs yet.
I´m talking about the first real 4 door SUV from Lamborghini: the Urus!
Rumors says that it will be powered by the same V10 as the Huracan what means that there might be over 600 HP working in this italian colossus.
Personally I´m kinda sceptic even though I am very curious to see the finished interior as Lamborghini hasn´t had a four door luxury car like this before.
New BMW M5
Also new for this week are the first specs and driving pictures of the BMW M5.
The most important addition to the super sports sedan is a completely improved all wheel drive which is promising us the full M driving feel with better acceleration and handling performance.
Let´s see what this all means in reality when the car is finished and ready for a test drive.
Jaguar XF Sportbrake
Jaguar finally brings back one of the best looking estate cars with their Jaguar XF Sportbrake. The predecessor already was a very sharp looking and highly practical car.
Unfortunately the aren´t any pictures without camouflage yet, but as a big fan of estate cars I am thrilled to see the pictures of the finished car.
BMW M240i Performance Edition
Everybody loves individuality and that´s why everybody also likes limited editions. They always give you the feel to have and be part of something special. This is the reason why BMW launched the BMW M240i Performance Edition.
All 750 of those cars will be white, loaded with the full M performance package and either rear wheel or all wheel drive.
If this sounds appealing to you, head to your BMW dealer and save yourself one of those limited little monsters.
New Ring record: Nio EP9
Just a few weeks after Lamborghini broke the Ring record with the Huracan Performante there´s already a new sheriff in town.
The name of the car is Nio EP9 and it´s made by a chinese car manufacturer named NextEV. As you can imagine by the name of the company, the Nio EP9 is a full electric car with the spectacular performance figures of 1360 HP and 312 kilometers per hour top speed.
Unfortunately the car will only be built a few times and will cost one and a half million euros.
